Since May 19, there have been heavy rainstorms in the coastal areas of western Guangdong, northern Guangdong, and the Pearl River Delta region. Some small and medium-sized rivers have experienced flooding above the warning level, and there is a possibility of continued heavy rainfall in the near future, with a high risk of flooding in some rivers. In response to the current situation, the Guangdong Provincial Hydrological Bureau initiated a level IV emergency response for flood prevention and hydrological monitoring at 16:00 on May 20th.
