Stellantis and Dongfeng Group are planning to establish a joint venture in Europe, which will be responsible for the sales of the Lancia brand.

On May 20, Stellantis Group announced that it had signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding with Dongfeng Motor Corporation. According to the proposed plan discussed initially, both parties intend to establish a joint venture headquartered in Europe, with Stellantis Group holding a 51% stake and Dongfeng Group holding a 49% stake. The joint venture is expected to be responsible for sales and distribution of Dongfeng Group's Lynk & Co brand of high-end new energy vehicles in agreed markets in Europe, as well as joint procurement and engineering research and development projects.
