Microsoft partners with Proximus NXT to launch a sovereign cloud solution.

On May 20, Microsoft and Proximus NXT announced a strategic partnership milestone to jointly develop and deploy sovereign cloud solutions for public and private organizations in Belgium and Luxembourg. The core of this solution is based on the Azure Local offline operation mode, which allows organizations to run autonomous cloud environments that can be temporarily or permanently disconnected from the public cloud while retaining core Azure services, to meet the high requirements of data sovereignty, compliance, and business continuity in sectors such as healthcare, finance, and public administration. Currently, Proximus NXT has established a testing laboratory in Evere, Belgium.
