Adjustment of Suzhou's Points-based Hukou Policy: The residency period for obtaining points-based Hukou in Suzhou will be extended to the "five cities of southern Suzhou" region.

In order to further optimize the urban points-based household registration policy, promote more mobile population who have stable employment and life in Suzhou to settle in Suzhou, in accordance with the "Notice of the Provincial Government on Carrying out Pilot Reforms of Market-oriented Allocation of Key Urban Elements in Suzhou-Nanjing Area" , requirements to "further promote the reform of the household registration system, explore the allocation of residence period points for urban points-based household registration from Nanjing to the 'Five Cities in Suzhou-Nanjing Area'", after consultation and research by the Public Security Bureau and the departments of Development and Reform, and Human Resources and Social Security, it has been decided to expand the area for the residence period points allocation for Suzhou's urban points-based household registration to the "Five Cities in Suzhou-Nanjing Area".
