South Korea's venture capital investment in the first quarter surged by 24.1%

The South Korean government announced on Sunday that in the first quarter of this year, the scale of venture capital investment in South Korean startups increased by 24.1% year-on-year. Data from the South Korean Ministry of SMEs and Startups showed that from January to March this year, the total amount of funds invested in venture companies and startups in South Korea reached 3.32 trillion Korean won. This amount set the second highest record for investment in the first quarter in recent years, second only to the high tide of global VC investments in the same period in 2022.
