CATL releases sodium-ion battery, Natrium Morning battery high energy version energy density reaches 261Wh/kg.
On May 17th, CENAT New Energy released the sodium-ion battery - SODIUM MORNING battery at the 15th Global Science and Technology Conference of the company. The high-energy version has an energy density of 261Wh/kg, which is 60% higher than traditional sodium batteries; the power version supports -50C ultra-low temperature discharge; the energy storage version has a cycle life of over 20,000 times, with a discharge retention rate of over 88% at -40C. It is reported that the aforementioned batteries have been released for mass production, covering various scenarios such as energy storage, low altitude, and light power.
