Hubei province initiates level III emergency response for heavy rainfall and severe convective weather.

Today at 7 o'clock, the Hubei Provincial Meteorological Bureau initiated a level three emergency response to a major meteorological disaster. The Hubei Provincial Office, Disaster Reduction Department, Observation Department, Forecast Department, Human Resources Department, Meteorological Station, Heavy Rainfall Department, Climate Center, Data Center, Service Center, Engineering Technology Center, and Lightning Protection Center have all entered the level three emergency response state. It is expected that there will be scattered heavy rain in the central and western regions of Hubei Province during the day on May 17. From the evening of the 17th to the 19th, there will be heavy to very heavy rainfall in Hubei Province, with local heavy downpours and severe convective weather.
