On the 18th, Samsung Electronics in South Korea will start the second round of post-dispute mediation at 10 a.m. The labor side has already announced a total strike starting on the 21st for 18 days, so whether the mediation can reach an agreement to resolve the conflict and avoid the strike has attracted attention. Under the mediation of the Central Labor Committee of the Ministry of Labor, labor and management held marathon negotiations from the 11th to the early hours of the 13th, but failed to narrow the differences in opinions on the standards for performance bonuses, leading to the breakdown of the negotiations. The committee requested the labor side to restart negotiations on the 16th but was rejected, and this time both labor and management have accepted the request for mediation, and the negotiations will resume after a 5-day hiatus.
