This year, Shenzhen will start construction of 30,000 units and supply 40,000 units of affordable housing.

On May 15th, the Housing and Construction Bureau of Shenzhen released the "Shenzhen 2026 Annual Housing Development Plan". Of particular interest is that this year, Shenzhen will build and secure 30,000 sets of affordable housing, with a supply of 40,000 sets, to meet the basic housing needs of working-class individuals and various families facing housing difficulties. The plan includes seven key tasks: promoting high-quality development of the real estate industry, optimizing the supply of affordable housing, standardizing the development of the housing rental market, steadily advancing urban renewal, continuing to carry out the construction of "good houses" and "good neighborhoods", improving the quality of property services, and better leveraging the support efficiency of the housing provident fund.
