The country's first large-scale multi-functional non-motorized vehicle multi-story parking garage opens in Beijing.
During the morning rush hour, Shaho Station ranks second in passenger flow on the Beijing subway, with an average daily passenger flow of 95,000 people. Nearly 10,000 non-motorized vehicles are parked haphazardly around the station, blocking roads, which has always been a headache for commuters in the area.
Shaho Town in Changping District has abandoned the traditional expansion of land use model and revitalized idle land after relocation. They have constructed the country's first large-scale multi-level non-motorized vehicle parking facility - Shaho E Station. Since its phased opening on March 31st and full operation on May 1st, the parking structure has accommodated an average of 4,200 non-motorized vehicles per day. The commuting efficiency has significantly improved, and the facility has been well received by local residents. It has effectively solved the problem of parking for non-motorized vehicles in centralized travel areas, becoming an innovative model for non-motorized vehicle parking at rail hubs in the city.
