Qiu Yinghua: Promoting the development of the silver economy in Hong Kong and building an "age-friendly" economic system.
According to the E-Jing Financial APP, on May 14, the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development of Hong Kong, Edward Yau, summarized his speech on the motion "Promoting the development of Hong Kong's silver economy in line with national strategies" during a meeting at the Legislative Council. He mentioned that they will continue to listen to the opinions of the Legislative Council, the business sector, and various stakeholders, including the elderly and their caregivers. At the same time, they will take multiple measures within the framework of the existing five categories, in cooperation with the direction of the working group on aging society strategies, to promote the development of the silver economy and build an "age-friendly" economy. They look forward to various sectors actively responding to the Hong Kong government's promotion of the silver economy, working together to seize the opportunities in the silver economy, promote the cultivation of quality products and service models, and allow the elderly to share in the benefits of development.
