Honda sets the electric vehicle related losses for the fiscal year 2026 at 500 billion yen.

On May 14th, Honda Motor Co., Ltd. reported sales of 21.80 trillion yen by the end of the fiscal year 2026, a year-on-year increase of 0.5%; operating loss was 414.3 billion yen; excluding the operating loss of 1.45 trillion yen related to electric vehicle business, the operating profit was 104 billion yen. In addition, Honda has set the electric vehicle-related losses by the end of the fiscal year 2027 at 500 billion yen, and expects the operating profit after excluding electric vehicle-related losses in the fiscal year 2026 to reach 1 trillion yen.
