Shenzhen accelerates building a leading city in artificial intelligence.

On the 13th, it was reported from the latest issue of the municipal government bulletin that the "Operation Regulations of the Shenzhen Industrial and Information Technology Bureau's Support Plan for Building an Artificial Intelligence Pioneer City Project" has been implemented since May 1st and will be valid until June 30, 2027. This revision aims to adapt to the new situation of the rapid development and changes in artificial intelligence, better leverage the guiding and incentive role of financial funds, and promote the high-quality development of the artificial intelligence industry cluster. The revised regulations adhere to the principles of self-reliance and emphasize application orientation, "lowering the threshold" in multiple dimensions in terms of application conditions, strengthening precise support for small and medium-sized enterprises, enhancing policy implementation convenience, and improving the sense of achievement for enterprises. The revised regulations have set up a total of 10 post-subsidy projects, focusing on areas such as computing power support, basic data, artificial intelligence software, products, and services, to form a multi-level and full-chain support system: enterprises can apply for "model vouchers" deducting 30% of the purchase cost, with a maximum subsidy of 2 million yuan per year for a single enterprise. The benchmark projects for the application of artificial intelligence in the industry focus on key areas such as advanced manufacturing, modern services, and scientific research, providing a maximum of 2 million yuan and 10 million yuan respectively for demonstration application projects and benchmark application projects that play a leading role. The regulations provide support for enterprises, universities, research institutes, and other units that undertake national ministry-organized AI "challenge leadership" projects. If there is funding support from the state, a maximum of 10 million yuan in matching support will be provided in a 1:1 ratio; if there is no funding support from the state, selected projects can receive a maximum of 5 million yuan in funding, and winning projects can receive up to 10 million yuan. Applications for projects must not have received other municipal-level financial support.
