Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Create a new development situation for the automotive industry under the APEC framework.

Today, the 43rd APEC Automotive Dialogue Meeting was held in Shanghai. The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that China will work together with all economies to build a sustainable and fair automotive industry ecosystem within the APEC framework, and jointly create a new situation in the development of the automotive industry. The person in charge of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology stated that China is actively contributing to the transformation of the global automotive industry. Breakthroughs are being continuously achieved in key technologies, such as the application of semi-solid state batteries in vehicles and the mass production application of fast charging technology that can charge 80% in 15 minutes. Up to now, more than 57,000 kilometers of roads have been opened for testing intelligent connected vehicles, and demonstration applications in the fields of autonomous driving and electrification are being carried out extensively. In terms of policy systems, 237 national and industry standards for intelligent connected new energy vehicles have been issued, 103 projects have been initiated, and more than 60 international standard regulations on electric vehicle safety, autonomous driving systems, and others have been led. The person in charge stated that currently, the new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation is deepening, especially with the rapid breakthroughs in frontier technologies such as artificial intelligence, opening up new opportunities for global automotive industry transformation and upgrading. In the next step, China will continue to deepen international cooperation, adhere to open development, and continue to create a market-oriented, rule-of-law-based, and international first-class business environment. Wang Weiming, director of the Equipment Industry Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, expressed support for Chinese and foreign companies to deepen practical cooperation in technology, standards, investment, trade, and other areas. At the same time, efforts will be made to strengthen coordination and mutual recognition with all economies in the field of standards and regulations, and through platforms like APEC, promote global sharing of technological exchanges, talent cooperation, and innovation outcomes.
