On May 11, 2026, Deputy Minister Liao Min held a video call with Lindsay White, Director of International Financial Affairs at the UK Treasury in Beijing, to exchange views on Sino-British economic and financial dialogue, and cooperation in the G20 financial channels. Liao Min stated that China is willing to strengthen exchanges and cooperation within the framework of the Sino-British economic and financial dialogue, and deepen communication and coordination in multilateral mechanisms such as the G20, injecting new content into bilateral relations. White expressed that the UK is willing to work with China to implement the results of Prime Minister Stamer's visit to China, enhance communication and cooperation, hold successful the 12th Sino-British Economic and Financial Dialogue, and strengthen multilateral communication and coordination with China to jointly address global challenges.
