Berkshire selected the chairman of General Reinsurance to succeed Ajit Jain, a core insurance executive.
According to insiders, Berkshire Hathaway has confirmed that Charlie Munger, chairman of General Reinsurance, will take over from Ajit Jain, who has been deeply involved in the insurance business for many years, in order to ensure a smooth transition of leadership in the group's core business sector. Insiders say that after Jain decides to retire, Munger will take over the management of Berkshire Hathaway's extensive insurance business sector.
