Many places are advocating that public officials, party members, and cadres take the lead in paying property fees, and shall not procrastinate, shift responsibility, give discounts, or make exceptions.
Recently, many places have successively issued initiatives calling on public officials and party members to take the lead in paying property fees. Among them, Jiujang, Chaisang District, and Wuning County in Jiangxi Province have recently issued relevant notices. "The community is the basic unit of residents' lives, and property services are an important support to ensure the normal operation of the community and improve the quality of life of the people. Paying property fees in accordance with the law is not only a legal obligation that every homeowner should fulfill, but also a key measure to maintain the harmony and stability of the community and strengthen the foundation of grassroots governance." On May 1st, the Office of the Coordination Mechanism for the Special Governance Campaign to Address Outstanding Issues in Property Services in Gongqing City stated that, in order to fully play the exemplary role of public officials and party members, lead the cohesion of community governance with Party building, and create a good community atmosphere of integrity and shared governance, they are issuing an initiative to all public officials and party members in the city: consciously strengthen legal awareness and sense of responsibility, deeply understand the importance of paying property fees to guarantee property services in the community and optimize the living environment, strictly abide by the relevant provisions of the Civil Code of the People's Republic of China and the community management regulations, proactively pay property fees on time and in full without delaying or making excuses, to fulfill the legal obligations of homeowners with practical actions, and demonstrate the responsibility and dedication of public officials and party members. The above initiative also calls on all public officials and party members to start with themselves, lead those around them, actively promote property service-related laws and regulations to family members, relatives, and neighbors, explain the importance of paying fees in accordance with the law, guide people around them to establish correct property consumption concepts, consciously abide by the various management regulations of the community, actively cooperate with the community and property service enterprises, and promote the formation of a good trend of the whole people paying fees in accordance with the law and observing civilized norms. In addition, in response to issues in property services, it is necessary to insist on rational reflection and proper resolution through the homeowners' committee, community consultation, and legal channels, resolutely prevent the escalation of conflicts through refusal to pay or delay in paying property fees, and jointly maintain the harmony and stability of the community.
