On May 1st, the China Railway Taiyuan Bureau saw a peak in passenger flow during the "May Day" holiday. A total of 445,400 passengers were sent on that day, surpassing the previous record of 444,200 passengers sent on October 8, 2025, and setting a new record for the highest daily passenger volume sent in history.
