During the May Day holiday, there is a high volume of railway and civil aviation passenger traffic, and cases of flight delays, ticket refunds, and changes are common. This creates opportunities for illegal elements to commit fraud, and cases of telecommunications network fraud related to ticket refunds and changes may be on the rise. In response to this, the public security authorities issued a security alert on preventing telecommunications network fraud on May 1. The public security authorities advise that when receiving information regarding ticket refunds and changes, one must confirm the flight status through the official airline app or customer service hotline, avoid clicking on unfamiliar links, avoid downloading unknown apps, avoid enabling "screen sharing" or disclosing verification codes, and avoid conducting transactions outside of official platforms. When receiving any proactive phone calls regarding compensation, it is especially important to remain vigilant, verify through official channels, and protect one's own "money bag."
