Global consumer goods company Unilever announced on April 30th that, due to the impact of the Middle East conflict, the company's costs have increased and they have decided to raise product prices. Unilever stated that the Middle East conflict has caused disruptions in the supply chain and soaring prices of commodities, and as a result, they expect their total costs for the year to increase by approximately 750 to 900 million euros, including rising logistics and factory costs. Regarding the decision to raise prices, Unilever's Chief Financial Officer Srinivas Pathak stated during an analyst conference call that they will implement price increases multiple times, each time with a small increase.
