The average price of gasoline in the United States has hit a new high in nearly four years.
The American Automobile Association released data on April 30, stating that with international oil prices skyrocketing to over $100 per barrel and no sign of when the Strait of Hormuz will reopen, the average price of regular gasoline in the United States is now $1.12 higher than the same period last year, reaching a new high in nearly 4 years. The American Automobile Association pointed out that after a slight decrease in the previous two weeks, gas prices in the United States have risen again, with the national average price increasing by 27 cents in the past week. "The last time gas prices in the United States reached a similar high was in late July 2022." Currently, the average price of regular gasoline in California has exceeded $6 per gallon, continuing to lead the nation.
