The first-instance trial of the bribery case of Ren Chunsheng was pronounced.

On April 30th, the Second Intermediate People's Court of Beijing publicly sentenced Ren Chunsheng, former party secretary and chairman of Shanghai Insurance Exchange Co., Ltd., for accepting bribes. The defendant Ren Chunsheng was sentenced to twelve years in prison for the crime of accepting bribes, and fined one million five hundred thousand RMB. The illegal gains obtained from Ren Chunsheng's bribery crime were confiscated according to law and turned over to the state treasury.
