Recently, it was reported that Zhu, the son of the director of the First Affiliated Hospital of Hunan University of Chinese Medicine, was suspected of "eating empty salaries" by repeatedly receiving bonuses. On April 30th, the reporter learned from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine that they had initiated an investigation. Preliminary investigation found that Zhu graduated from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine in July 2019 and then began working in the health management department of the First Affiliated Hospital. In January 2022, Zhu was temporarily transferred to work in the hospital's intensive care department. During this period, the health management department of the hospital repeatedly issued performance bonuses to Zhu totaling 84,000 yuan. Hunan University of Chinese Medicine has requested Zhu to return the duplicated performance bonus of 84,000 yuan. The university has also required the hospital to further standardize internal management in order to prevent such loopholes in the future.
