The Ministry of Water Resources announced the list of persons responsible for the safety of large reservoirs and dams in the country in 2026, as well as the list of persons responsible for the reinforcement projects of dangerous and high-risk reservoirs and dams.
The Ministry of Water Resources recently issued a notice announcing the list of 769 responsible persons for the safety of large reservoir dams nationwide in 2026, as well as the responsible persons for 551 large and medium-sized reservoir reinforcement projects and 1244 large and medium-sized sluice reinforcement projects. The notice emphasizes the need to strengthen the organization and implementation of reservoir and sluice reinforcement projects. All relevant units should establish and improve the responsibility system for large and medium-sized reservoir and sluice reinforcement projects, and guide responsible persons to effectively strengthen the organization and implementation of reinforcement projects. For projects that have not yet established a legal entity, they should expedite the establishment process; for projects that have been allocated investment but have not yet started construction, they should promptly begin construction; for projects under construction, they should strengthen project quality, safety, progress, and financial management, standardize project implementation, and tighten safety measures during flood season to ensure the safety of flood control during construction, formulate flood control plans and emergency plans for excessive flooding, implement safety measures, and ensure the safety of flood control during construction; for completed projects, they should promptly organize reservoir closure and completion acceptance.
