The world's first dual-fuel car carrier with a capacity of ten thousand vehicles has been delivered, with orders booked until 2030.
On April 28th, the world's first 10,000-car-class dual-fuel car carrier built by China Shipbuilding Group's Guangzhou Shipyard International was delivered in Nansha, Guangzhou. The ship is 230 meters long, 40 meters wide, and designed with a 14-deck car garage that can flexibly load various types of vehicles including electric vehicles, hydrogen-powered vehicles, and heavy-duty trucks, with a maximum capacity of 10,800 cars. Additionally, the ship is equipped with the latest green fuel system to meet the latest global environmental requirements. The formal delivery of the world's first 10,000-car-class dual-fuel car carrier signifies that China has fully mastered the construction technology of this type of vessel and maintains a leading global position in this segment of the market. At Guangzhou Shipyard International, car carriers are being produced at a rapid pace, with orders scheduled to continue until 2030. With the continuous growth in global demand for car trading, shipyards have already received orders for over 40 car carriers, and the 10,000-car-class car carrier has been well received in the market since its launch.
