Investment exceeding one billion yuan is accelerating the construction of 1845 road and water transportation projects.

At the press conference held by the Ministry of Transport today, Deputy Director Liu Dong of the Planning Department stated, "The Outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan proposes to improve the modern comprehensive transportation system, promote the construction of a number of major engineering projects, with significant investment, large social impact, and strong driving force, playing an important role in regional economic development. In the first quarter, construction accelerated for 1845 road and waterway projects with investments of over one billion yuan, completing investments of about 330 billion yuan. Among them, 174 new projects started, with an additional investment of about 16 billion yuan. Major transportation projects with investments exceeding 20 billion yuan, such as the Second Crossing of the Jiangsu-Sutong River, the South Jiang to Santai Highway in Sichuan, and the S35 Jingtai to Lixian Highway in Gansu, have started construction.
