China Meteorological Administration: Continuously promote "Artificial Intelligence + Meteorology" to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of weather forecasts.

During the "Fifteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the meteorological department will continue to promote "artificial intelligence + meteorology", make efforts to strengthen the Xiong'an Meteorological Artificial Intelligence Innovation Research Institute, further solidify the basic support of data, computing power, and platforms, and accelerate the construction of an internationally advanced meteorological artificial intelligence research and development center. It will promote the deep integration of artificial intelligence and other technologies into forecasting and warning services, improving the accuracy and timeliness of meteorological forecasts. In recent years, the China Meteorological Administration has released "Wind and Thunder", "Wind Clear", "Wind Smooth" and other artificial intelligence meteorological forecast model systems that cover 0-60 days seamlessly. The "Wind and Thunder" model has good forecasting ability for short-term intense precipitation and its distribution. The "Wind Clear" model has strong forecasting ability for global mid-term weather of 3-10 days. The "Wind Smooth" model can greatly enhance the forecasting ability of weather and climate systems beyond 15 days.
