Idemitsu Kosan will supply oil to Vietnamese refineries to help alleviate the oil shortage.
The second largest oil company in Japan, Idemitsu Kosan, announced on Tuesday that it will supply crude oil to a refinery in Vietnam, which is facing a fuel shortage due to supply disruptions caused by the conflict with Iran. Idemitsu Kosan did not disclose the amount or timing of the delivery. According to media reports, the expected delivery amount is around 4 million barrels. A spokesperson for Idemitsu Kosan stated that this decision was made in response to a request from the Vietnam Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical Company. The company added that this request also came from the Japanese government.
