Guangdong: During the "13th Five-Year Plan" period, Guangdong will focus on the key breakthrough of new configurations of eVTOL aircraft and electric propulsion system technology, as well as explore rocket manufacturing and rocket launch recovery technology.

The outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan for National Economic and Social Development of Guangdong Province has been officially released. It mentions that core technology research and development will be carried out in areas such as low-altitude safety and countermeasures, whole aircraft manufacturing, key components, new power systems, software systems, and low-altitude service support. The focus will be on key technologies for new configuration eVTOL aircraft and electric propulsion systems, as well as aviation-grade high-energy new batteries, ultra-high-speed motors, efficient intelligent airspace control, manned and unmanned integrated flight, and other technologies. Core technology research and development will also be conducted in areas such as advanced launch and space transportation, intelligent satellites and on-orbit services, and intelligent applications of space-based information, exploring rocket manufacturing and rocket launch and recovery technologies.
