State Council Safety Committee, Ministry of Emergency Management: During the May Day holiday, there are higher safety risks in transportation, tourist attractions, and crowded places. Local governments should improve emergency plans, identify hidden risks, and strengthen safety precautions. During the May Day holiday, there will be more outings for leisure activities, so local governments should enhance safety management in tourist areas, conduct safety inspections on cable cars, cable cars, large amusement facilities, glass walkways, floating bridges, pedestrian "magic carpets", sightseeing vehicles and boats, implement measures for visitor evacuation and temporary closure due to extreme weather conditions, and strengthen safety supervision of "internet-famous check-in spots". During the May Day holiday, local governments should continue to strengthen fire hazard inspections in high-rise buildings, mixed-use establishments, hotels, homestays, restaurants, and entertainment venues to prevent accidents.
