Ministry of Industry and Information Technology: Notice on the collection and usage of personal information by 33 Apps

According to a report from Xinhua News Agency, based on the announcement jointly issued by the Cyberspace Administration of China, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Ministry of Public Security regarding the launching of a special action on personal information protection in 2026, in accordance with laws and regulations such as the Cybersecurity Law, Personal Information Protection Law, Regulations on the Management of Cybersecurity Data, and Methods for Determining Illegal and Irregular Collection and Use of Personal Information by Apps, the Cyberspace Administration of China has organized inspections on the collection and use of personal information by Apps. The relevant issues are now being reported.
