Our country plans to revise the agriculture law to accelerate the construction of a strong agricultural nation.

The draft of the revised Agricultural Law was submitted to the 22nd session of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress for its first review on April 27. This revision aims to further consolidate and strengthen the basic status of agriculture in the national economy, adhere to the concept of large-scale agriculture and large-scale food production, promote high-quality development of agriculture, advance comprehensive rural revitalization, accelerate the construction of an agricultural powerhouse, and provide strong legal protection for the modernization of agriculture and rural areas. The Agricultural Law is a fundamental law in the field of agriculture and rural economy, established in 1993, comprehensively revised in 2002, and amended in individual articles in 2009 and 2012.
