The General Administration of Customs recently introduced 24 new measures to promote the expansion and improvement of comprehensive bonded zones, involving enhancing the development level of new formats and models of foreign trade, ensuring the resilience and security of industrial supply chains, promoting the integrated development of domestic and foreign trade, and improving the efficiency of intelligent supervision and collaborative governance. This morning, the General Administration of Customs held a special press conference to interpret the 24 new measures. At the press conference, a responsible official of the General Administration of Customs introduced that by 2025, the total import and export volume of comprehensive bonded zones in the country will reach 7.2 trillion yuan, contributing approximately one-seventh of the country's total foreign trade volume and effectively promoting the development of China's open economy. So far, there are a total of 168 comprehensive bonded zones in China, distributed in 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities.
