Recently, Minister of the Ministry of Natural Resources Guan Zhiou met with the Minister of the Ministry of Public Service Management and Innovation of Brazil, Este de Veuque, and his delegation in Beijing. The two sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation in the protection and rational use of natural resources, and signed a memorandum of understanding. Guan Zhiou stated that China and Brazil are both developing countries with large land areas, diverse ecosystems, and abundant natural resources, and they both face the task of ecological protection and rational utilization. The prospects for cooperation are broad. Brazil's experience in managing tropical rainforests is worth learning from, and it is proposed that the two sides refine their annual cooperation plans, engage in discussions on data sharing, technology cooperation, and expand cooperation space.
