Minister of Ecology and Environment Huang Runqiu attends the Regional Ecological Summit.
From April 22nd to 24th, the regional ecological summit was held in Astana, Kazakhstan. Huang Runqiu, Minister of the Chinese Ministry of Ecology and Environment, was invited to attend the plenary session of the summit and spoke at high-level meetings such as "Ecological Partnership between the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and the United Nations Environment Programme: Building a Sustainable Regional Future Together" and "Central Asia Green Barrier - Regional Protective Forest Belts and Green Barrier System." During the summit, Huang Runqiu also held bilateral talks with Erik Solheim, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme, Cristiana Pasca Palmer, Executive Secretary of the Convention on Biological Diversity, Petteri Taalas, Secretary-General of the World Meteorological Organization, Nurlan Kapparov, Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Kazakhstan, Sheralli Zadelpa, Chairman of the Environmental Protection Committee of the Government of Tajikistan, Abduhakimov, Chairman of the National Committee on Ecology and Climate Change of Uzbekistan, and Goran Trivan, Minister of Environmental Protection of Serbia. They also visited the international exhibition of green technology and sustainable development solutions with some of the attending representatives.
