The latest data released by the U.S. Energy Information Administration shows that in the week ending on the 17th, the daily average export volume of U.S. crude oil and petroleum products totaled about 12.9 million barrels, reaching a record high. The data shows that the recent export of U.S. crude oil and petroleum products is on the rise overall, with a daily average export of about 4.8 million barrels of crude oil and about 8.1 million barrels of petroleum products, the latter also reaching a record high. According to the report from the U.S.-based Axios news website on the 24th, in recent years, the scale of U.S. crude oil exports has been maintained at a level of 3.5 to 4.5 million barrels per day. Analyst Matt Smith of the market research firm Kepler believes that the ongoing conflicts in the Middle East have forced the global market to seek alternative supply channels for crude oil and petroleum products, leading to the increase in U.S. energy exports. Smith estimates that in just one week, the peak daily export of U.S. crude oil could reach about 6.5 million barrels; however, due to logistical constraints, the monthly export limit is about 5.5 million barrels per day.
