Shanghai Shipping Exchange: The comprehensive coastal freight index rose slightly this week.
On April 25, the weekly report on the Chinese coastal shipping market released by the Shanghai Shipping Exchange showed that this week, as the maintenance of the Daqin Line continued to progress in the spring, coal collection and transportation slowed down, and the supply of cheap goods in northern ports was tight. Although downstream is in the traditional off-season for coal consumption, the demand from non-power industries is strong, combined with the warming up of pre-May Day stocking expectations, the coal procurement sentiment in the domestic market has improved, and the comprehensive index of coastal bulk freight has risen. On April 24, the Shanghai Shipping Exchange released the Chinese coastal comprehensive freight index closing at 1241.49 points, an increase of 3.4% from the previous period.
