As of the week ending April 21, data from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission shows that speculative net short positions in natural gas on the four major markets, including the New York Mercantile Exchange and the Intercontinental Exchange, increased by 9,557 contracts to 22,734 contracts.
