From April 22nd to 23rd, the Director of the General Administration of Customs, Sun Meijun, visited Changsha Customs to investigate and promote the implementation of key tasks. During a discussion with the members of the Changsha Customs Party Committee, Sun Meijun emphasized the need to firmly guard the national security front line, resolutely implement export control measures, strengthen control at the source, prioritize both goods and enterprises, and coordinate cooperation. Compliance should be released according to regulations, while non-compliance should be strictly inspected and managed, and smuggling and illegal activities should be severely cracked down upon. Scientific and precise implementation of port health and animal and plant quarantine measures must be taken to prevent the entry of major epidemics and invasive species. Efforts should be made to actively promote high-quality development and high-level opening up, solidly advance the Special Action Plan for Facilitating Cross-border Trade, implement measures to expand and improve the capacity of integrated bonded zones, facilitate the construction of pilot zones for deepening economic and trade cooperation between China and Africa, and better facilitate domestic and international dual circulation and support the development of productive service industry.
