Creating a new innovation business card for the free trade port, the construction of the Hainan University Science and Technology Innovation Circle has been initiated.

Recently, Haikou officially issued the "Construction Plan of the Hainan University Science and Technology Innovation Circle", relying on the innovation advantage of Hainan University as a "Double First-Class" university to build a collaborative highland for science and technology innovation, injecting new energy into the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port. The plan specifies a "three-step" goal: by the end of 2026, fully launch the construction of the "Double Core and One Corridor", establish alumni funds of no less than 500 million yuan, achieve the transformation of 150 scientific and technological achievements, and attract 100 incubating technology companies; by 2028, the layout of the "Double Core and One Corridor" will be basically formed, with a science and technology carrier space of over 70,000 square meters, a cumulative transformation of 500 achievements, and the introduction of over 200 incubating companies; by 2030, the Hainan University Science and Technology Park will be built as a nationally influential national university science and technology park, with a cumulative transformation of 800 achievements, a technology contract transaction volume exceeding 1 billion yuan, making the science and technology innovation circle a new business card for Haikou.
