The "Guidelines for the Safety Assessment of Electrochemical Energy Storage Stations" have completed the review of the draft for submission. It is currently in the approval process.

At the Electrochemical Energy Storage Safety Conference and Energy Storage Series Standards Seminar held today in 2026, the relevant person in charge of China Electric Power Research Institute Limited expressed that the "Guidelines for Safety Evaluation of Electrochemical Energy Storage Power Stations" was officially launched for compilation in 2024. The draft for review was completed on April 18 this year and is currently in the approval stage. The standard stipulates the requirements for safety management evaluation, equipment and facility evaluation, operation and maintenance evaluation, overhaul test evaluation, and comprehensive evaluation of electrochemical energy storage power station safety evaluation. It is reported that the standard was led by China Electric Power Research Institute, with core drafting units including CATL, JA Solar, Hangzhou Greatpower, Shanghai Fire Research Institute, State Energy Group, HBSE, HelenTech subsidiary Hubei Andu Fire Technology Co., Ltd., and other companies.
