How to protect the content generated by artificial intelligence? What to do if the chip layout design encounters infringement? On April 24, at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office, Guo Wen, the spokesperson of the State Intellectual Property Office and director of the Intellectual Property Protection Division, stated that they will start from the aspects of system, service, and application, to lay a "protection net" for innovation in emerging fields. Guo Wen introduced that having a system is not enough, innovation entities must be able to "make use of it". The State Intellectual Property Office has further optimized patent examination policies, providing various channels such as priority examination and fast examination. Up to now, a total of 890 commodity and service projects related to new industries and formats such as big data and artificial intelligence have been publicly disclosed, effectively solving practical issues such as the lack of corresponding projects for trademark registration and unclear protection boundaries in emerging fields. Of particular note is that 82 national-level intellectual property protection centers have been established nationwide, covering cutting-edge directions and key areas such as artificial intelligence, integrated circuits, quantum technology, and brain-machine interfaces, effectively meeting the "fast protection" needs of innovation entities.
