State Copyright Administration: This year, we plan to include copyright protection in the cultural innovation field in the special operation "Sword Net 2026" to combat online infringement and piracy.
On April 24, the State Council Information Office held a press conference to introduce the situation of the "Annual Report on China's Efforts to Combat Infringement and Counterfeiting". Wang Zhicheng, director of the Copyright Management Bureau of the Central Propaganda Department, said that this year, we plan to include copyright protection in the field of cultural and creative industries in the special action "Sword Net 2026" to combat online infringement and piracy. While focusing on governance of infringement and piracy in areas such as online literature, online sales, and online storage + distribution, we will also strengthen copyright protection for books, movies and TV dramas, short and long videos, as well as derivative products, and crack down on unauthorized illegal copying, distribution, production, and sale of pirated products. At the same time, we will improve industry supervision and source governance to form a joint force for copyright protection in key areas. Of course, copyright issues brought by artificial intelligence are also hot topics of high social concern. We are also conducting comprehensive research on legislation, law enforcement, development, and international cooperation. Responsible editor: Li Yuequn Proofreader: Zhang Yan
