SoftBank plans to transform the factory into a data center to produce batteries.

According to reports, Softbank Group's mobile communication department plans to transform some of its factories in Osaka into one of Japan's largest large-scale battery production lines, in an attempt to provide power for its AI data centers. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Softbank's goal is to have the production line operational within the next five years.
