AI programming company Cognition is negotiating a new round of financing with an estimated valuation of $25 billion.
According to informed sources, AI programming company Cognition AI Inc. has initiated preliminary negotiations for a new round of financing. After this round of financing is completed, its valuation will more than double, reaching $25 billion. The current market demand for companies that excel in applying artificial intelligence to software development is continuously increasing, and the company is seeking financing in this favorable trend. A source who wished to remain anonymous stated that this artificial intelligence programming startup plans to raise hundreds of millions of dollars or even more funds. Currently, the related negotiations are still ongoing, and the financing terms may still change. Earlier this week, Elon Musk's space exploration technology company announced an agreement to acquire fellow programming company Cursor for $60 billion. Sources stated that although Cognition AI's financing negotiations started before this announcement, they once again received renewed interest from investors after the acquisition deal was disclosed. As of now, a spokesperson for Cognition AI has not responded to requests for comment. Cognition AI was founded in 2023, operating in the competitive AI programming race, simplifying the code writing and debugging process with cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology. The company focuses on offering services to enterprise clients, with its flagship product being Devin, which the company previously marketed as the "world's first AI software engineer." Its official website shows that cooperative clients include Anduril Industries, Microsoft, and other companies.
