According to data from the Ministry of Finance, in March, the total sales of lottery tickets nationwide were 544.00 billion yuan, a decrease of 38.17 billion yuan year-on-year, a 6.6% decline. Among them, welfare lottery agencies sold 184.49 billion yuan, a decrease of 7.54 billion yuan year-on-year, a 3.9% decrease; sports lottery agencies sold 359.51 billion yuan, a decrease of 30.63 billion yuan year-on-year, a 7.9% decrease. This is mainly due to the decrease in sports events leading to a more significant decline in the sales of betting-type lottery tickets. From January to March, the total sales of lottery tickets nationwide were 1439.59 billion yuan, a decrease of 46.32 billion yuan year-on-year, a 3.1% decline. Among them, welfare lottery agencies sold 484.03 billion yuan, a decrease of 28.74 billion yuan year-on-year, a 5.6% decline; sports lottery agencies sold 955.57 billion yuan, a decrease of 17.59 billion yuan year-on-year, a 1.8% decrease.
