Song Zhenbo, former standing committee member of the Zibo Municipal Committee, former deputy secretary of the party group of the municipal government, and former deputy mayor, was sentenced to 11 years in the first instance.

The court trial found that from January 2003 to January 2024, the defendant Song Zhenbo, taking advantage of his positions as Deputy Secretary of the Zhoucun District Committee, Deputy Secretary of the District Government Party Group, Deputy District Mayor, Deputy Secretary of the Linzi District Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Qilu Chemical Industry Zone Working Committee, Secretary of the District Government Party Group, District Mayor, Secretary of the Linzi District Committee, Member of the Zibo Municipal Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Municipal Government Party Group, and Deputy Mayor, illegally accepted a total of more than 38.99 million yuan in cash and valuables for providing assistance to relevant units and individuals in land use for projects, policy support, and loan processing. In the first half of 2021, while serving as a member of the Zibo Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor, the defendant Song Zhenbo personally decided, knowing the overvaluation of the equity of a private enterprise, for a state-owned enterprise in Zibo to purchase the equity of the private enterprise at a significantly higher price than the market price, resulting in a significant loss of state-owned assets.
