On April 23, the Guangzhou Municipal Committee's Financial Office released the latest data: in the first quarter, the added value of the city's financial industry reached 90.032 billion yuan, an increase of 8.3% compared to the same period last year, ranking first among all industries in terms of growth rate; the proportion of GDP rose to 11.3%, reaching a historical high. At the end of March, the total balance of deposits in both local and foreign currencies in Guangzhou exceeded 10 trillion yuan for the first time, reaching 10.06 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.2% compared to the same period last year, making it the fourth city in the country with a deposit scale exceeding ten trillion yuan.
