CPU "in short supply" Supply chain said international big factories are brewing to raise prices again in Q3.
The CPU market is now starting a new round of price hikes. ODM manufacturers pointed out that since March of this year, consumer electronics and server CPU prices have increased by 5% to 10% and 10% to 20%, respectively. The supply chain revealed that international giants are planning to implement another round of price hikes in Q3. Intel had already raised PC CPU prices in March and further adjusted server CPU prices on April 1. Market expectations are that there is still about 8% to 10% room for further price increases in the second half of the year. On AMD's side, there are market reports that its server CPU product line will see price increases in the second and third quarters, with a cumulative increase of 16% to 17%. The supply chain bluntly stated that "currently, CPUs are still in a severe supply shortage situation", and there is no end in sight for price hikes.
