The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released the economic performance of the communication industry in the first quarter of 2026, with rapid growth in mobile internet traffic, and the DOU value reaching a new high in March. In the first quarter, the accumulated mobile internet traffic reached 104.4 billion GB, a year-on-year increase of 19.1%. By the end of March, the number of mobile Internet users reached 1.623 billion households, a net increase of 13.48 million households from the previous year. In March, the average monthly mobile internet access traffic per household reached 23.4GB, a year-on-year increase of 13.8%, an increase of 0.36GB per household per month compared to the end of the previous year.
